Real shit. And I feel once you are second guessing the relationship that’s when it’s already ended if that makes sense

Truly good men are rare. Yes, they can be routine. Set in their ways. Not exciting. But if you actually loved him — you fight for it. Love isn't supposed to feel easy all the time. It's supposed to challenge you. That's how you know it's real. Go watch any dating video right now. Ask literally any single friend. The pool out there is rough. It's exhausting. It's hard to find someone you connect with past month three, let alone four years. So here's my honest question: if he really is a good one, someone else is going to see that fast. And you're going to watch someone spend the four years you just walked away from. Was it freedom you wanted? Or did you convince yourself 95% wasn't enough — because you were chasing a 100% that doesn't exist?

It’s all about how they feel and physical attraction, not about how they are treated

This video would have been insightful if you gave specific examples...because a "good guy" is relative. You have guys right now who feel they are good guys and will hear this and realize, they are cooked. Also, there are marriages that are on their 5th and 6th decade, where if you asked them if they have ever had to ask their partner over and over to do something even after being told, you will find this is what Dr. John Gottman defines as a perpetual problem that doesn't have an answer nor does it have anything to do with who the person is at their core and is part of the 69% of issues in relationships that LITERALLY have no answers to....31% of issues in relationships and ironically the area most people never focus on and can be fixed...are not core things...normally behavioral things that aren't personality, they aren't who someone is at their core...and if changed, would not change who the person is..... Dr. John Gottman.... you're welcome!👌🏻

Them being a good person doesn’t mean they have to be your person and they could also find someone they match with even more

Do people not understand that as a partner you shouldn’t have to repeatedly bring up issues to better the relationship? If the partner chooses to ignore your concerns they don’t care

I feel this so hard. I was talking to a really nice guy, had a lot of similarities and values, but I just felt so uncomfortable around him. I ended things bc I knew he deserved someone who was actually into him. And now he has a girlfriend who actually seems into him and I’m SUPER happy for him

My ex is what everyone would consider a good/nice guy and they’re not wrong. But he also deeply lacks self-worth and initiative, he’s not abusive as a result but he’s not a partner. You can be a “nice” and well meaning person and an unhealthy partner.
