These grow all over the US, and are phenomenal for this application. Find a healthy leaf and rub it on there. 😊

For the future....wash the area with soap and water and use tape, put it on the area and pull it slowly off. It will take any of the leftover tiny splinters out. Then you can soak area in cool water and the burning goes away quicker.
