VEX ESPORTS! :
For those that want to know, Casper was a 21-month-old Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dog from Georgia, USA. His job was to protect a flock of sheep from predators, and in November 2022, he faced one of the most dangerous situations of his life. On November 4, 2022, a pack of 11 coyotes approached the sheep Casper was guarding. Instead of retreating, Casper charged at the pack to protect the flock. According to his owner, John Wierwille, Casper fought the coyotes for around 30 minutes and killed eight of them, while the remaining three fled. Casper survived the fight, but he suffered severe injuries, including a serious neck wound and injuries to his body. He disappeared after the battle and returned home two days later in critical condition. Veterinarians treated him, and he eventually recovered. Casper later became famous as a symbol of courage and loyalty. In 2024, he won the American Farm Bureau Federation's People's Choice Pup award after receiving more than 100,000 votes. His story is remembered because he put himself in danger to protect the animals under his care.
