@samluckinii: Cam Schlittler SHOULD WIN the 2026 American League MVP award🤯🔥 It’s the greatest Yankee pitching season of all time by ERA+. Higher ERA+ than Clayton Kershaw’s MVP season in 2014. Leads the American League in bWAR. Lowest ERA in the sport. Most innings in the AL. Just a dominant force. If the Yankees didn’t have Schlittler this year, where would they be? They’ve sustained injuries to virtually every single one of their starters… but Schlittler’s been healthy all year, and has literally been the best player in the AL during that stretch. I think they’d lose 15 more games if they DIDN’T have him this season. He deserves to win it. But will he? I don’t think so. A precedent has been set with the MVP award as a hitter’s prize. Cy Young yes. MVP no. Some of his worst starts are against playoff teams. I know he needs run support, but his record against teams over .500 is not good. To get MVP as a pitcher, you have to be beast against the best. Look at Miz against playoff teams.
