I compete for glorified participation trophies (strongman) not too dissimilar to those given at hyrox. I would never even think about continuing if I had diarrhea nor would any strongman competition allow a competitor to contaminate the other competitors, equipment, or venue.

in marathons, ultras, and like Iron Man level tris, its not THAT uncommon for people to do this. I mean, not common, but its a thing. BUT NOT INSIDE A GYM IN A SHARED SPACE USING SHARED EQUIPMENT!!!

I am a daycare teacher, and if a diaper explodes or a child simply didn't make it to the toilet and it ends up on me I am legally required to clean it off myself and change any effected clothing. I've had to leave work to go home and change and then come back. It is a massive hazard not only to the other children but also myself and the other teachers.
