@kpixtv: A growing number of residents in two Northern California counties have been allowed to return home as firefighters increased containment on the Lucas Fire burning near the Mendocino National Forest. As of Tuesday morning, the fire burned 4,128 acres and is 35% contained, according to Cal Fire. The fire started Thursday morning near the Lake County – Mendocino County line southeast of Potter Valley. Fire officials have downgraded all but two evacuation orders to warnings but noted that returning residents should stay prepared to evacuate again if conditions change.
