@apple.girl.kait: First time at the @Spokane County Interstate Fair and I think I did it right 😂🍎🐮 I came for the Wheatland Bank Farm Animal Experience Barn and somehow ended up spending basically the ENTIRE day at the fair. I got to talk apples, pears, Washington agriculture & regenerative ag. Handed out some of our apples, hung out with the cutest Dalkena Highlands cow, ate some great BBQ, and listened to live Payton Rae 🙌 Supported ag scholarships & development at the Dry Fly Distilling & Browne Family Vineyards speakeasy AND finished the night at a sold-out rodeo. WHEWWW But taking my baby brother & his group of (very inquisitive) Gonzaga Baseball players through the animal barns was pretty dang special. Showing the guys just how much goes into the fair, beyond the rides and food. The livestock barns are full of young people learning responsibility, animal care, public speaking, leadership and a whole lot of skills that extend far beyond the show ring. ❤️ There is still MORE happening at the Spokane County Interstate Fair through September 20th, including plenty going on at the Wheatland Bank Farm Animal Experience Barn.
