The life of Robert Frost began on March 26, 1874, in San Francisco, California. After his father’s death in 1885, Frost moved with his mother to Lawrence, Massachusetts, where he developed a love for reading and writing. He briefly attended Dartmouth College and later Harvard University, but he did not complete a degree. Instead, he worked various jobs, including teaching and farming, while quietly pursuing poetry. In 1894, Frost sold his first poem, My Butterfly: An Elegy, marking the start of his literary journey. However, recognition came slowly. In 1912, seeking better opportunities, he moved to England, where he published his first poetry collections, A Boy’s Will (1913) and North of Boston (1914). These works established his voice, rooted in rural life and deep philosophical reflection. Returning to the United States in 1915, Frost gained widespread acclaim. Over the years, he became one of America’s most celebrated poets, known for works like The Road Not Taken and Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening. He won four Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry, a rare and remarkable achievement. Despite personal tragedies, including the loss of several children, Frost continued to write with resilience and depth. His poetry often explored themes of nature, choice, isolation, and human struggle. In his later years, Frost became a national literary figure and even recited a poem at President John F. Kennedy’s inauguration in 1961. Robert Frost passed away on January 29, 1963, in Boston, Massachusetts, leaving behind a timeless legacy in American literature. "Now I get why people spend hours staring at one painting." Rob Gonsalves created mind-bending art where forests turn into cathedrals, waterfalls turn into dancers, and city buildings dissolve into starry skies. At first glance, everything looks normal—until you notice two different worlds blended into one picture. He used light, scale, and perspective to build these seamless mind tricks. A bridge turns into a fleet of ships, and its arches become sails. There’s no single line where the change happens, so your brain keeps switching back and forth between two realities. Before painting full-time, Gonsalves worked as an architect. That training helped him design realistic spaces, while artists like René Magritte and M.C. Escher inspired him to flip those spaces upside down. People often call his style Surrealism, but he preferred "Magic Realism." Instead of weird dream scenes, he carefully planned real-world views to show us that magic is already around us if we change our perspective. Which transformation did you notice first?
