I explain injustice pretty bad. It’s not cannon not mainline and not actually Damian Wayne. It’s the injustice version of him. The same way injustice Superman obviously isn’t Superman people can understand that but struggle when it comes to Damian

Damian has been my favorite DC character for years, he is the reason I got actually into comics and I have seen the evolution about the DC fandom towards him and somehow, a lot of people still struggle to read him, the worst case I would say it's not even the hate but about the ignorance, some people had clearly not read anything of him or had just read the very beginning of his journey as a character and yet they talked badly of him as if they know the character but Damian is so complex in all shades, his development, his stories and his relationships, all of them had to be really focused and have an especific attention when you write it became if it's not,then it's kinda obvious when a writer does not care about him or don't like him and it's the same to some readers. I am nervous about the DCU using his character and not understanding this, I have faith in Gunn because he is a director that clearly had seen the good in the misunderstood, GOTG and Peacemaker had shown that he definetly see the shades in characters that most of the people can't see or care and the fact that Damian is attached to animals is already another good signal because Gunn also know how to managed the empathic nature of it. My biggest worriness is how built the universe will be, Tom King involvement and the storyline he is following as Batman and Robin, I love Bruce and Damian's duo but these duo flowerish by Peter J. Tomasi and Gleason's run not Morrinson. Aside of that, I'll proudly defend my boy.

the ones that hate him just ignored his insecurities, trauma and fear. Damian was raised to think love and validation is something to be earn by the assassins. He was taught emotions are a weakness and should not be shown. Of course he's going to have walls build up, arrogant? he wasn't even arrogant in the first place, he was just using it as a wall or a sheild to hide what he think is a weakness from the others. He was never allowed to show his vulnerability
