Lesson from this development is: old system, the status quo - which benefited Saudi’s the most, and old ways of doing things no longer works and therefore not sustainable. Best way forward is to draft a new passage treaty for the area. Let the Houthis have their own state, start paying all the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden and Hormuz states cargo transit fees for using their EEZ, then make it mandatory to keep all foreign warships - that doesn’t belong to any of these states away from the area.
