@lioness_0852: I’ve been thinking about how the same situation can produce different prayers over time. Not because we’ve stopped wanting things to change. Sometimes we still desperately want the answer. But perhaps prayer slowly becomes less about controlling the outcome and more about asking God how to live faithfully within what we cannot yet change. That doesn’t make the original prayer wrong. It may simply mean our relationship with the situation—and with God—is changing.
