Israel had an advantage. Radars and air defence systems in Kuwait, Iraq and Jordan were able to handle some of the missiles fired from Iran. Now that Iran destroyed all these radars and air defence systems, Israel is exposed. Israel knows any attack by Iran would be fatal.
