A guest’s +1 came up to me and said “Hurry up and get some food. I’m hungry.” I asked him who he was and waited for his guest to appear. Both were escorted out immediately. Not wasting my day on my food for a stupid stranger.

I thought there was no way I’d lose friends over my wedding. It was low commitment for the bridal party, no other events except the rehearsal dinner, I paid for everything for them, dresses and all. They just had to show up. Still lost a friend lol

EVERY single IMMEDIATE family member on both sides made it about them! My mother complained that she can’t come because she had a class that day and then has to work. My dad, and both of my sisters didn’t show up at all and my dad kept telling me to do a big wedding so he can invite dozens of family members but both my husband and I wanted an incredibly small and intimate ceremony with people closest to us. My husbands mother AND sister asked him what color I’m wearing and he told them a light pink, and they BOTH showed up in MUTED PINKS (but I wore champagne and my husband said that to throw them off), and my husbands father, minutes before it was time to leave to go to the venue started saying he doesn’t want to go. Bonus: my husband’s aunt was sneakily taking pictures of us before the ceremony began and he told her to stop or she’d have to leave and to delete the pictures she took because it’s against our wishes, and his mom began saying he doesn’t have to tell his aunt that to make me happy. Also this is just relative, because there was also one of my closest friends at the time, who was with her partner longer than I was with my husband, and they have been engaged for 2 years prior to my wedding, and she only began planning her wedding when I was planning mine. She was trying to copy everything I was doing, down to cake and flowers AND even wanted my wedding date because “you can’t get married before me”. I don’t know what’s wrong with people like this.

My Russian family literally were like ooooh idk a winter wedding?? Why not have it in the summer so it’s hot and I can enjoy myself there? Plus it’s when everyone else has theirs🤪 (I have massive overheating issues and they know but obvi never care). Anyways I told them sure whatever then a few weeks later sent them invites for THAT winter. They instantly called me all pissed and asking why I wasn’t thinking of them and I went “oh bc it’s my wedding, remember to rsvp if you aren’t coming!”

my in laws were mad we eloped and didn’t tell a soul. we had a full wedding 3 months later and they tried micromanaging. guess which side of the family wasn’t invited.

We had told my husband's BIL and his dad to not even go near each other (they did not like each other) and to act like adults if they wanted to be invited to the wedding. Guess who got into a fight 5 minutes after we got done with the ceremony 😑

I was pregnant during my sisters wedding, nobody knew except my mum, I was her maid of honour, it was hell I had the worse sickness but thugged it out. Never told her until her wedding was over because I didn’t want to stress her.

I had two guests my mom and my brother and my mom yelled at me and made me cry because I didn’t wait till my sister was mentally ready to be there (my husband and I eloped because he was getting deployed and was leaving for deployment training in 3 days)
