“It’s better to go kegals when you’re having s**, he will enjoy that too” right before he shoved the speculum in me. Yes he had the tone you’d expect. No he’s not allowed to be a doctor anymore.

I had a dr who used to ask 'what do you want me to do' to anything I came in for. He acted bored, like he didn't want to be there. 🫤

I was 14, exhausted 24/7, falling asleep in every class with 8 hours of sleep the night before, body randomly twitching… and the doctor just told me to lose weight. Turns out I was experiencing every single side effect of my antidepressants at once, which were never once explained to me

My daughter when 13/14 had lumps in her breasts. She was a 34DD by this age. I wanted doctor to get her checked (just in case) and doctors said the statistics of having cancer at her age was 1/1000,000 I said I still want her tested, as that ONE girl is diagnosed with cancer to get that statistic! Luckily it was breast tissue growing so fast that it was struggling to “open like a flower” as she already had so much breast tissue but they should still check so that god forbid we know if the statistics increase!

.
Doctor: I don't know why you women struggle so hard to remember. It's not that hard. You don't need the bar. Just take your pill!
.
Me: (10 years later) Late diagnosed as ADHD.... which impacts memory abilities!

my biggest anger point with doctors is when they describe PPD as "baby blues" like giving it a cute nickname just makes it better instead of dealing with the issue.

I had my male doctor tell me multiple times for three years (before I stopped trying to get help) my period was "normal"...it lasted only 24-30 hours, I would bleed so heavily that I was bleeding through a super plus tampon every 20 minutes, cramping so bad I couldn't walk, clots the size of a baseball. went to a female nurse practitioner one time for an unrelated issue, when she looked at my file she said "wow that's not good" and immediately booked me for a series of tests, ultrasounds, etc. turns out that I had a newborn baby sized tumor attached to my ovary. the internal medicine doctor told me that it had probably been growing for years, I had to have basically a 4th csection to remove the tumor and cyst, thankfully it was benign

Not a doctor, but a school nurse. Had my first ovarian cyst burst in highschool. If you've had them, you know they can mimic the pain/area of emergency appendicitis. She sent me back to class 4 TIMES. Ended up in the ER, and mom threatened to sue if nurse wasn't fired.
