Uma forte chuva acompanhada de grande quantidade de granizo foi registrada na noite desta terça-feira (15) na região de Itaipava, em Petrópolis, na Região Serrana do Rio. A chuva provocou pontos de alagamento e deixou ruas cobertas por pedras de gelo. Moradores registraram a intensa queda de granizo e ficaram assustados com a força do temporal. Um dos locais mais atingidos foi o bairro Madame Machado. Em alguns pontos, a quantidade de gelo acumulada foi tanta que moradores precisaram utilizar pás para retirá-lo das ruas. Charlotte knew that fixing Laurens company was not the most important thing. So a days later Charlotte went to the hospital with Isla. Isla walked beside Charlotte holding her hand as they stepped into the hospital hallway. "Mom? who are we visiting?" Charlotte looked down at Isla and smiled gently at her. "Someone important, baby." They stopped outside a hospital room. Charlotte took a small breath before knocking on the door. Inside, Lauren was sitting beside her fathers bed staring at the floor and lost in thought. "Come in." Lauren said quietly. Charlotte stood there in the doorway and beside her was Isla, Laurens daughter. Laurens breath caught in her throat, suddenly it hurts her. Isla was her daughter and Lauren had not seen her in three years. Isla looked taller now her hair was a little longer. Her face was softer, but Lauren recognized her immediately. What made Laurens chest tighten the most was how much Isla looked like her now. The same eyes, the same small curve of her smile. Lauren slowly stood up. Her hands began to shake. "Isla, baby.” The name slipped out before she even realized she said it. Charlotte gently guided Isla forward toward Lauren. Isla looked up at Charlotte nervously. Charlotte knelt down and brushed Islas hair back. "Sweetheart remember when you asked me about the person who used to sing to you when you were little?" Charlotte asked Isla. Isla nodded slowly. Charlotte looked toward Lauren. "That's her." Lauren was already kneeling now trying to keep her voice steady even though her chest felt like it was breaking open. "Hi, Isla." She said with her voice shaking. The little girl stared at Lauren quietly for a moment. Then she asked in a small voice “You’re my mama?" Laurens eyes filled with tears instantly and she whispered, "Yes." Isla ran forward and wrapped her arms tightly around Laurens neck. Lauren completely broke down. She held her daughter so tightly and her hands trembled. She buried her face in Islas hair as tears streamed down her face. "I missed you, my heart." Lauren whispered shakily to Isla. "I missed you much…" Lauren said and Isla hugged her just as tightly. "I missed you, Mama." Isla said to Lauren. Charlotte stood near the door covering her mouth as she tried not to cry while watching Lauren and Isla. After a moment, Lauren slowly pulled back still holding Isla close like she was afraid Isla might disappear again. Laurens eyes moved to Charlotte. Her voice trembled. "Is this the last time I will see her?" Lauren asked Charlotte. Charlottes heart hurt when she heard that. She shook her head immediately. "No.” Charlotte said to Lauren. Charlotte stepped closer to her. "We are going back to our house, if that’s okay with you." Charlotte said softly to Lauren. Lauren looked confused. Charlotte continued, "your company will be okay too. My parents are fixing everything they did and the investors are coming back." Lauren stared at Charlotte in disbelief. Charlotte smiled faintly through her tears. "And it is still you, Lauren." Charlotte said to her. “Lottie…” “Yes? Do you have someone?” “Of course not. It’s still you, it’s always been you.” Charlotte smiled and stepped closer until they were only inches apart. Then she kissed Lauren.
