Story Time?? Botanical Garden was our first itinerary for the trip. After paying the entrance fee, we saw the big signage sa corner before the entrance so we wanted to take a picture for memories. We were hesitating at first kasi baka may bayad, kuya taho even asked us if we wanted for him to take our picture for us, so we asked back if may bayad, he said “Walang bayad if kayo lang”. That was a warning na pala. We gave our camera for pictures. Then, my cousin asked if he could also take a video, she was vlogging kasi, and this is the footage. Pagkaabot namin kay kuya ng cam, nanay was already in the frame and was getting ready to pose with us. We didn’t invite them over kaya as you can see we were kind of confused at first, tapos biglang unti-unti na sila lumapit. We thought it was just a wholesome interaction kasi nga they volunteered to be in the shot. After that, they were asking na for money. Medyo kita pa sa vid how the first nanay was asking for barya. We were willing naman to give out, pero it was our first day so most of us have no barya. My cousin gave them 20 pesos pero they kept insisting na “Lahat bigyan niyo.” We kept saying we didn’t have barya but they wouldn’t let us go, they were tugging our arms. Para makaalis na kami, I gave them 100 pesos and even said na hati na lang sila kasi wala na talaga kaming barya. Even after that, they kept insisting on asking for more money. Kuya taho eventually told them “Nay, tama na yan” so they stopped (thanks kuya). It was kind of unsettling honestly kasi they really wouldn’t let us go, we didn’t even ask for them to be in the video and even after giving them money, they kept insisting for more. It was our first time going there, hindi ko alam if that’s normal pero grabe, sinulit na lang namin yung time sa loob to make up for what happened. #baguio #botanicalgarden
