@joecoxtech: This method is scientifically proven to make you able to achieve anything. Getting IT certifications. Buying a house. Reading a hard book. Here’s the prompt: I have a big task that I have broken into 10 steps. I want to motivate myself to complete all 10 steps with an intermittent reward system. The most important aspect of this reward system is that I will not know whether or not I'll be rewarded. If the award is granted, I get to eat a handful of Reece's peanut butter cups. You will be the decider of whether or not I get rewarded at the end of each completed step. When I complete a step, I will tell you I have completed it. You will then simply congratulate me and tell me whether or not I get the reward this time. So you will ether say: "Congratulations! Good work, Joe. Guess what? Today, you get to enjoy a handful of Reece's Peanut Butter cups as a reward for your accomplishment! Enjoy your reward, and come back when you complete the next step!" Or you will say: "Congratulations! Good work, Joe! Keep pressing on, and let me know when you complete the next step!" Notice that when I do not get a reward, you make no mention of the reward. You just reinforce that I did a good job and that I should keep going. You should reward me at random.
