@cgtneurope: Iran says only a single-digit number of ships are currently passing through the Strait of Hormuz, disputing US claims that traffic through the strategic waterway is increasing. Iran’s deputy nuclear chief Behrouz Kamalvandi told CGTN that the number of vessels moving into and out of the strait remained in the single digits. Before the US-Iran conflict, more than 100 vessels passed through the waterway each day. Preliminary ship-tracking data cited by Reuters suggests the figure has since fallen to fewer than 14 vessels per day.
