“Excuses are the tools of the incompetent.” That statement may sound harsh, but sometimes we need to be honest with ourselves. The world does not reward excuses. It rewards people who keep showing up, solving problems, learning, adapting, and doing the work even when circumstances are not ideal. Every builder will face opposition. People will criticize you. Some will doubt you. Some will try to discourage you. Sometimes, the biggest obstacle will not even be another person. It will be your own fear, procrastination or unwillingness to keep going when the results are taking longer than expected. But you cannot build anything significant if you keep looking for reasons to stop. There will never be a perfect time to start a business, write the book, invest, develop yourself or pursue the vision God has placed in your heart. You have to start with what you have and keep improving along the way. I believe every builder must have a Rehoboth mindset. A mindset that says, “I will keep digging until I find room.” Keep digging. Keep building. Keep learning. Keep working. And most importantly, do not build only for today. Build something that can outlive you. Build something your children can inherit. Build something that creates opportunities for other people and leaves the world better than you met it. Your current setback is not your final destination. Keep building until you reach your Rehoboth. What excuse are you giving up today? DSA!
