I also see teacher who say things like “no teacher should be hurt at work” as an argument for more restrictive placements. What they don’t realize is even those more restrictive places have actual teachers and terrible resources (they usually have just slightly better resources than public schools). They don’t care about the kids or other teachers/paras.

This one might pizz off a few people but I’m already on my first cold of the school year 8 days in and idgaf about that today. The sad truth is if you can’t handle a high level of stress, you will have a very hard time working in most public schools. Not because it SHOULD be stressful for educators to do their work, but simply because that is the reality we exist in today.
