I have a budget of £25,000 to spend going around the world. I did a similar trip two years ago and travelled east from the UK visiting around 15 countries including Turkey, India, Thailand, Bali, Japan, Philippines, Australia, Tahiti, Los Angeles, New York. I stayed in mid range hotels and ate in local restaurants. I took a small shoulder bag with a few toiletries and a t-shirt. The entire trip cost about 11,000 this year I’ll fly to Greece, Egypt, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, Hawaii, Los Angeles and travel over land to Chicago and then end my journey in New York before heading back home. I have no time limit and have a reserve of another £20,000 should I go over budget. I’ve spent my entire life travelling, I started when I was 16 and been travelling almost consistently for nearly 45 years. One country that changed my life was Russia. The most fascinating country I’ve ever lived in. Siberia is unbelievable. I stayed three winters in Siberia experiencing temperatures minus 47! Travelling on the tran Siberia express through Mongolia and china.

I'm well jealous. What an amazing journey 🥰 I'm going to Thailand for the third time in March (my favourite place now). Hopefully Vietnam a few months after that. Cambodia is on my bucket list, so hopefully there soon, then Japan.....

Looks amazing! But you can also travel the world for much less. I backpacked through Asia for 5 months, spent a long time in each place and spent approximately 700€ a month. Just for info if somebody out doesn’t have 10.000 €. You don’t need that to go travel!

Seems like an amazing trip! 😃 So many places in SEA are easy to budget around 1000€ / month or less + extra travel costs. Staying in hostels and meeting new people to share memories and some part of the journey makes a trip like that even more unforgettable :)
