I miss her more than I can even describe, my best friend, my person, my home. 1. My Nan loved being outdoors, she loved everything about nature and she appreciated every season for what it is. Since we lost her I’ve felt her presence every time I’ve been outside. The sound of a bird or the beauty of a flower just makes me feel so close to her. 2. If there’s something me and my Nan could do, it was laugh. No one makes me belly laugh the way my Nan did. We were on the same page with everything and would often just ‘get the giggles’ over things other people wouldn’t even find funny. 3. Nan had such a sweet tooth and we used to love going out for cake or sharing a cheeky chocolate bar. Her favourite was of course, toffees. She would say ‘there’s always room for pudding’. She wasn’t wrong! 4. Nan loved her home more than anything, it was everything to her, the place she was happiest. She made her home, our home. I now love my home and I’m the happiest and most content when I’m here in my little nest. 5. Since I was little my Nan taught me how important it is to be open about my feelings. She used to say ‘let it all out’. I could talk to her about ANYTHING. Whether I was laughing, crying, angry, confused, she listened without judgement and made me feel safe. 6. We didn’t have to go far or spend a lot of money to make memories, we just had to be together. I’m so lucky to have so many memories with her and to have captured a lot of them on camera and I’ll continue to do the same with my friends and family. 7. Nan loved to give back, whatever she could do to help, she did it. She just loved to help. Every time we went shopping she would pick things up for the foodbank and I’ll continue to keep this up. 🤍
