You gotta start checking resistance on compressors/fans/contactors before resetting tripped breakers. You should have 10-17ohms on the 24v contractor coils

Not an HVAC tech... But the ones I know all say the same thing. . 95% of the time it's either the capacitor or the contactor.

Put one lead to ground and check everything for continuity. It’s quicker and easier than unhooking everything and hoping for the best

That’s because there’s a huge hole rotted out in the top and all the rainwater is leaking down on all the controls fix the hole in the top of it or you’re just wasting their money and let them know. It’s way past time for changing the whole thing out.
