My son passed away from suicide while away at college. We had no idea he was struggling. He was a senior. Suicide rates are so high for men. It is devasting. Our life will never be the same. I wish he would have talked to somebody, anybody.

My biggest freaking fear is my sons not feeling safe to tell me or his dad that they are feeling down to the point of that being the result. I have personally been through this with someone close and NOBODY would have predicted he would have done what he did. He was always happy, always positive, seemed to have it all together. And I know that’s actually the classic case. They bottle everything up and nobody knows what’s really going on in their mind 🫩 may that young man rest in peace. Truly. 🩷

I highly suggest every parent make an anonymous account and check in on your kids and their friend’s TikTok’s and specifically look at the reposts. My son’s friends repost the same things this young man was reposting and I promise they’re not telling their parents these things as much as we’d like them to. So incredibly sad.

I wish especially Ohio schools to please make mental health a priority for every student!! Make it mandatory to every student that they need to learn this signs I'm sure this poor young man gave signs and no one noticed. I lost my brother-in-law to suicide and to hear that poor young man at 19 did the same breaks my heart even more. This could have been preventable!!! My entire heart goes out to the family ❤️

I’m a single momma to a 17 year old battling stage 4 brain cancer and have been fighting breast cancer since 10-2019. I’m tired and fight the urge every day because I hate how I feel how I’m really not me. The only reason I stay is because of my boy. Really.
