Isn’t that the greatest moment as a parent? My oldest son is 27 and when he was first learning about cars, I would constantly need to correct him or advise him about how things really worked. Now that he is 27 he’s learned far more about cars and engines and working on them than I ever knew. I always worked on my cars because I never had the money to pay people for minor jobs. He works on cars and drives them because he has a passion for it. I now get such a kick out of going out in the garage and finding him literally pulling the transmission out of a Miata so he can rebuild his clutch and we’ll just watch him work. Now I’m learning about cars from him because he’s dove far more into it than I ever had the time or desire to do. I’m thrilled that you’re getting to experience that as a father as well. It’s one of those things no one tells you will end up being one of your greatest joys as they get older. Seeing them find a passion for something that may become a lifelong career makes you feel like you did something right raising them. You sir, clearly did. Well done.
