One has to fall down a very dishonest path to make this comparison isomorphism, notice how little he goes into the reality of totalitarianism in China and the absolute domination the CCP has on the whole system. America has close elections, a dynamic and currently fraught tension between divergent views, something utterly expelled from the Chinese order. Not to mention the freedom of speech angle. Do better, unless your objective is to please the CCP who greatly benefits from this line of reasoning.
