And the irony of me immediately yelling “BE QUIET OUT THERE!” at the end of this video is not lost on me 😂 But that’s actually the point. The goal isn’t to become someone who never reacts. Who never gets annoyed. Who never gets triggered. Who somehow floats through life completely unbothered by construction noises and human beings. 🧘‍♀️ The practice is the pause. Can you create a little more space between what happens and what you do next? Maybe today the pause is half a second. Next time it’s three seconds. Eventually, it’s long enough for you to notice: I’m having a reaction, but I don’t have to immediately become the reaction. That tiny space is where you get your choice back. You get to decide whether something deserves your response, your attention, your emotion, your energy. We’re not trying to become reactionless robots.
