@seandaustin: Last night I was in Willow Spring, North Carolina, where a family reached out to me regarding paranormal activity inside their home and around the property. They’ve experienced shadow figures, objects flying off shelves, disembodied voices, unexplained bangs and knocks, and the feeling that something watches from the woods outside. One of the girls who used to live next door claimed that one night she saw a nearly 7 foot tall, hunched over shadowy creature staring at her from the adjacent field. Terrified, she ran back inside. I was also told Union soldiers allegedly passed through this area during the Civil War, and arrowheads have reportedly been found on the property. When Shannon and I arrived, I began my intuitive walkthrough. I mentioned that I believed a Ouija board had been played with and started picking up on what felt like burial grounds with possible Native American ties. I felt an emotional heaviness in the kitchen and a back bedroom and picked up on a lost man who liked to drink, a distraught woman, and what felt like the spirit of a white dog. I also felt I was being told by spirit that what the girl had witnessed outside was a Wendigo. Afterward, the girl told me she had actually found an old Ouija board and played with it. Sometime afterward was when she experienced the frightening encounter outside. She also told me the family’s white dog, which she grew up with, had recently passed away. During our investigation, we captured several voices that I believe are compelling EVPs, including what sounds like: “Look down... they buried them.” “The chief knows.” When we specifically asked what the girl had seen outside, we captured what I believe could be a Class A EVP that appears to say “Wendigo,” which was especially interesting after what I had already received during my walkthrough. Toward the end, I offered prayer for any spirits seeking assistance. We received what I believe were references to at least a male and female spirit moving into the light, followed by a male voice that appears to say, “Sean’s a good man.” I blessed the home afterward, and hopefully some of what had been lingering there was able to move on peacefully.
