im not from the south. is it normal for very monotone meal colors? I was taught to have different colors like if your meat is steak (red) add a green (beans?) and a white (potatos or rice) and a colorful like a green salad with all the fixings?

Looks great... I swear I'm not being a know it all or persnickety... if you let the meat stand for about 10 minutes before frying, the breading will stay on. But I'm not yucking anybody's yum

I always add beef stock to my gravy for cube steak it makes a lot of difference 👌

We did cubed steak strips last night! I don’t know why but cutting them in strips feels easier to eat and makes it feel like a different meal, we double dip from the egg to the flour for a crisp bite! Such a hit in our house.
