Could you talk about Broadway bringing in ‘celebrities’ for a limited run in a lead role? For example Reece (former DCC) joining the cast of Chicago as Roxie. And not going through the endless hustle of auditioning, survival jobs, etc.

The VERY FIRST thing I ever truly watched or saw of Wicked was the rehearsal that was posted of yall singing Defying Gravity on the makeshift stage. I then saw Wicked on tour that October and have seen the show 12 or 13 times since after I absolutely fell in love with the show. Man I’m so glad I saw that video and it introduced me to Wicked!!

I live in Oregon and cried over so many reopening videos. And then I cried through the opening of Jesus Christ Superstar because it was the first show that stopped in Portland after the reopening.

😭 it is SO emotional. You told this story so beautifully. When you said you don’t realize how important this is to you as a person until it gets taken away, I stopped in my tracks. I felt the same way with my job (that had to stop for a while) and my hobby of performing. The first song my show choir performed after COVID hit was Brand New Day from The Wiz and I still can’t hear that song without getting verklempt.
