I have the same issue. Hold the iron there longer and spray before and after.

it’s shorter & it looks like it’s only holding a little at the bottom where the rest of your hair starts to hold the curl. try curling it higher up than you normally would when you style it

I have curly hair. Same thing happens to me. Take the top 3 -4 inches and curl towards your face. Then take from there down and curl away from your face. Let it sit don’t brush it out. It will naturally. I can tell you play with that side more in general
