so this actually does happen and I have seen it in person and on tiktok, it's more like "hey that's a really cute animal you have, is it a service animal" and then that someone subtly answer to not look suspicious and will ask "what's your most expensive card" or depending on the breed they'll give a specific price that they're looking for, and then ask the card vendor if they "would want to trade the dog/puppy for that specifically priced card" or for the highest priced card. it is absolutely disgusting considering they're just going to sell that card for more than what they could charge for the dog. and there's no actual process of seeing if that vendor would be a good owner for that dog no matter the breed or size.

This is what I got out of the Pokémon 30th anniversary. Knock Out set in Australia. I don’t buy Pokémon cards. The Knock Out set in Australia cost me about $20 so that was my limit and my friend gave me a promise card. I will show you that one in a minute.
