this hits too hard because i feel like I got touched by my moms ex boyfriend while sleeping when i was 9 but my mom told me that i took my own clothes off and left the door open myself. i always closed the door before i went to sleep because I was scared of the dark hallway, i would’ve never done either of those things

Ever since childhood, I held onto a memory I was convinced was real. I was at my old elementary school in the evening for basketball practice, which I actually attended; and there was a weight room opposite the locker room. When my buddy and I went back to change, there was a huge panic; our moms told us we couldn't change there, and that was when I saw a guy lying d3ad because he had dropped a barbell. For a long time, I was certain this was my real, traumatic memory. I dreamt about it several times as I got older, and it was always the same and very vivid. Finally, I asked my friend and my mom if they remembered it, and they both denied that anything that kind had ever happened. Since then I never dreamed again about this.
