@sarahlemoinee: Saw this comment on @BECKY PERRY ‘s video speaking about how marriage doesn’t benefit women (which I whole heartedly agree with). As a woman who is single, provides for herself, AND ALREADY DOES IT ALL (cooking, cleaning, etc.,) why would I need marriage??????? Women have lost their rights over their own bodies!!!!! If marriage was designed to benefit women I promise you it would’ve already been taken away from us. I’m not saying marriage is bad or that women shouldn’t want it. If marriage is what you want get married. But if you’re going to say you want traditional values, you have to look at the whole equation. not just the parts that sound romantic or convenient. You can’t talk about a man being a provider and a woman being the homemaker / traditional gender roles without also acknowledging the historical power dynamics, financial dependence, loss of autonomy, and what those roles actually meant for women
