Mine is 4 and I put him in his bed, we snuggle, he sleeps, then I go to bed and he wakes up and runs to my room. Sneaks right in between my husband and me and I just can’t find the will to care, he’s so sweet and snuggly and I know this won’t last forever. Sometimes he pries open my eyelids to tell me I’m his bed friend though. I could skip that.

my kids know I have an open door policy. my daughter stopped coming in my room at 12. my 10, 8, and 5 year old boys still come in. mostly the 5 year old. he is pretty much every night. i automatically wake up at 3 now knowing he is gonna come hop in. 😂 they are young once. let them feel safe to sleep.

My son's dad told me I was damaging him because I was co sleeping with him at 4. I then sent him article after article about the benefits of cosleeping. He was like, alright alright. My son decided at 7 that he wanted his own bed, which I happily provided him. He is now 12 and is perfectly fine. Hes not "overly" attached to me or a "mamas boy"

Lol my son asked me if I was excited for him to turn 5... I said no. And he got upset and asked WHY! I said bc the older you get means you're gna leave me one day and I don't want you to leave me. I want you to stay w me forever and ever. He said he would never leave me. I said promise? He said pinky promise. Lol but I'm crying thinking about how untrue that statement is 😞

Am I the only one who can’t stand my kids being in my bed? I love their little cuddles but I can’t sleep with them next to me! So much kicking and moving around. I send them back to their beds unless they’re sick 😩

I used to want my son to stop sleeping in my bed too. He was still crawling into my bed in the middle of the night, at age 11, from night terrors. Then I got breast cancer and the fear of not having another night to cuddle my baby one more time changed that real quick. I told my husband that one day our son won't need me for comfort and he will stop coming in our bed on his own. Sure enough he did stop 5 months before turning 12. They are only going to want us for so long. Never take a single moment for granted.
