what a strange existence. if we lived a life like that it would be like a dystopian horror and we’d be raging at the world. born trapped, half of you die to get you out, only for you to fly free for only a brief time before ur struck with the undeniable urge to force yourself into another trap, killing urself on the way, and dooming your children to the same existence. they just live it over and over. whats the point? is it because their only instinct is to live? but how can it be when they kill themselves? what’s driving them?

k so i did a deep dive, this is only true for a very specific kind of fig tree! What you buy at the store are from self polinating fig trees, you most likely have not eaten a fig wasp lol
