I try to be so understanding of everyone because I know people go through a lot and my husband sat with me and said “stop being so understanding of everyone who doesn’t take the time to understand you. You’re going through a lot too. Stop checking in on those who don’t check in on you especially telling them how lonely you are and how postpartum is destroying you and they push it to the side or minimize it and go straight back to talking about themselves.”

no matter what happened that day, the stress, if we have enough food on the table, for gas or for bills. I am absolutely beaten down. but the screaming laughter from our 4 kids I hear as I walk up to our front door completely wash all that bullShit away. nothing better then coming home

Once I realized what it was to be a mother with no “village” I made it a mission to be there’s. I check in those first few days and weeks PP. Ask if they need help with laundry, need me to take lunch. Check in every so often to see how baby is growing and how mommy is doing. Give the best advice I could to my FTM friends, and let me tell I still never got any of that treatment back. I’m now starting to feel like I give to much to others, my phone is so dry. I’m constantly sending videos and pictures of my babies to friends and family because I wanna share them with the people I love but nobody really ever calls to ask. So we wait for daddy…some days he works late so it just us.

My in-laws always say "we never see you guys!" We live an hour away, but they go out of town every weekend, travel to other states regularly, go on a few cruises, to Hawaii, and to Disney every year. They scheduled a trip to Vegas (when I was already 37 weeks pregnant) for when I was due to give birth and then kept saying how they were sad to miss my sons birth.

except daddy gets home at midnight so he always misses her 😭 I know it sucks for him. but I know she wakes up EXCITED every morning when daddy gets her up in the morning ♥️might not see him for bedtime, but he's always the first face she sees in the mornings 🥹
