I don’t want low scores at the beginning “so there’s room to grow”. I was ACCURATE scores ALL SEASON LONG. I don’t care if it’s week 1 or 6, you should get a 3 if you sucked and a 10 if you killed it

Ehhh I don’t like the intentional low scoring. I mean Amber Riley was on over a decade ago and (rightfully so) got 9s her fist week. I think your score should reflect your dancing and not be scaled. But presuming you’re improving each week that score should go up. Like if someone deserved a 7 they deserve a 7. I didn’t like last year just cause they started off way harsher than they finished but yeah some of those dances deserved an 8.

I’m so glad they took the backlash last season as constructive criticism. When you give 8s week one there’s like little to no improvement and feedback they can give/take seriously. A few 7s was annoying but WAY better than last years opener

Yall would love Marks mum Shirley- she’s a judge on the UK version. The most she’s have in week 1 is a 6 or 7and that was bc the celebs with those 6s typically had either a phenomenal week 1 dance or they had previous dance experience
