Widow's Bay is 110% a comedy. The showrunner used to write for Parks & Rec and Widow's Bay reminds me so much of that show's sense of humor.

No, even the scary parts were comedy. The sea hag scene scary but mostly funny. This is dark comedy it's best.

It’s a horror comedy because of its tone. You can’t say that about Schindler’s list because the tone of Schindler’s list is a heavy drama. Widows bay is a comedy because the absurdism of the show is forefront. Even the horror moments are darkly comic. It’s like evil dead 2 and army of darkness and the like. It’s incredibly funny. The Pit’s tone is of a heavy drama, sure it has funny moments but the focus is on the dramatic. The Pit and Widow’s Bay are definitely not in the same category.

It’s absolutely a horror COMEDY. Honestly there’s more comedy in it than most of the horror stuff. We could use more horror in it for season 2.

This is a bad take. widows bay is very clearly comedic its whole runtime. Does it have horror and mystery as well? Yes, but it is first and foremost a comedy.

The Bear is absolutely not a comedy. Not even remotely. Widow’s Bay was laugh out loud funny in literally every episode. After the first two or three episodes I thought it was leaning too much into the comedy and it was undercutting the horror to a certain extent. I think it evened out a bit more later, or I just got used to the levels.

Saying widows Bay isn’t a comedy is so bonkers to me. I laughed out loudl l mic mm more at widows Bay than hacks Abbott Elementary and shrinking all put together and I love those shows.
