the first axolotl I ever bought did this, she did not live but when I brought her home she gave birth to about 300 eggs I used to know the exact number of the ones that hatched but I don't remember it now, then her antennas all fell off and eventually I discovered she needed shallow or water, I had a 200 gallon tank for her and she needed more land. she lived good 3-4 months but she did end up dying autopsy discovered that her stomach was no longer attached to anything, her esophagus just kind of ended. 🤷🏻♀️

Jaime Fiore :
So is she still called an axolotl after the morphing is complete, or is she then called a salamander? I’m so invested in her journey!!

Ano she’s a amphibian morphing into salamander. Is it safe for her to have a heat bulb or a hot pad in her viv

Wait, you can get axolotl’s that don’t need to be in water 24/7? Is it unethical?

wait until she decides it’s time for brumation and stays in the dirt for literal weeks😭 mine did that and i had such a hard time feeding her because she wouldn’t come out and would get so mad at me when i took her out
