@zazuthemacawandshelby: I really thought Zazu was going to love having all this new wood to chew on 😂 I even added treats to try to encourage him to use it, but he barely touched it. So instead of just adding MORE toys, I’m trying to figure out what actually interests him. Tonight we’re doing a puzzle, wrapping his pellets in paper so he has to work for them, and making a forage bowl for tomorrow. We’re also working on getting comfortable with his travel carrier, so he can learn that going inside doesn’t always mean something scary is happening. I’m realizing that enrichment isn’t about having the biggest cage or the most toys. It’s about learning your bird and figuring out what works for them.
