The USA needs to establish a Department of Technology (or some name) that coordinates things like AI, cyber security, child protection, government data, communications/data transfer, etc! DoT would support congress in establishing laws.

I think AI has great potential but I want it regulated and contained. I have asked various AI how they would kill lots of people and if AI poses a greater threat than climate change. All said AI is more dangerous because it will move too fast for us to adapt.

China CURRENTLY has 10% of the compute compared to USA. They aren’t going to move faster than us in the near term. CCCP highly regulates their AI.
