Only need 10 psi per 1k rpm, to much oil pressure and you’ll blow seals out, got a 388 stoker with a stock volume pump and I’ve never had an issue

To high is worse, think of it as a pressure washer on your bearings. That much oil pressure will actually power wash the oil off your bearings and wipe them. 60 pounds is perfect over 100 is unnecessary.

I seen a Nascar restrictor plate engine on a dyno once & it barely had 45lbs of oil pressure at full throttle! (7500 rpm) at idle it was like 20lbs😳

high pressure =low flow. not necessarily bad. soubds like you know what your doing. but for an average person a spiked oil pressure could mean a restriction or blockage

some of the comments 😂 it's all good oil pressure isn't going to hurt race bearings with the property clearance .Just monitoring oil temperature would be advertised. with higher pressure come higher temperature 😏 in most cases.
