I went to India and stayed in my family's village home. I stayed in a hotel too. It was the most beautiful experience. The village home wasn't modern, but it was clean. It was warm, and the family occupying that home went out of their way to make us feel comfortable

what makes it 100x worse is TikTok’s algorithm, I’ve seen videos showing the most beautiful parts of India but they only end up getting around 5k views, compared to those travel influencers showing the poverty and poor places of India and they get millions of views, it just breaks my heart to see my country be treated so unfairly

It’s crazy. It would be like going to a city and going to an area where all the crackheads and homeless ppl live and judge the entire city/state/country on that. Even where I live in Western Australia has good and bad areas. You can’t judge the entire place on the bad when it’s actually beautiful here.
