The parents that didn’t respond should be ashamed of themselves glad the police officers and firefighters showed up for this poor child can only imagine how hurtful that was

They may not be accepted to do a birthday party but out of respect you’re invited to something you should make an effort to go sadly I know what this is. I had one at chunky cheese for my son when he was seven and nobody showed up. I paid a lot of money for it, but the crew there came over and sung him happy birthday after all he did have a great time playing so yes it’s disrespectful for people not to come

You call and let the father know you can’t come. It’s not hard to call. That why most all invitations parents like me put our phone number on it so the invite guest invitation so you can call and let them know if they are coming or not. I would like say to the police officers and firefighters that showed up for the boy party and support the young boy. They are true heroes. I bet that little boy had the best time of his life that day.

It's common courtesy to at least reach out and inform the parent that you are unable to attend.

people don't do kids parties anymore. It's sad, but it's yet another tradition that's died off. People are continuously being divided in this life and it shows. Community unity is all but dead. 😔

Those parents are cold and lazy. if I was ever invited to a birthday party my parents would make sure I showed up with a present parents nowadays they don't care about these traditions and what's right.

That’s what happened with my child. Invitations had been sent out to everyone, and everyone had confirmed they would come. We booked a room at Chuck E. Cheese. And... only two friends showed up. None of the classmates we invited came... it was awful... I didn't know what to tell my son or how to explain it to him...

At least those mothers could’ve called that boy’s father and said they couldn’t attend. How rude and disrespectful.
