The Japanese never planned on invading the mainland of the United States. They didn’t even plan on invading Hawaii. They didn’t have the logistical capability to do either one. They barely had the logistical capability to resupply their troops in the areas they’d already invaded and even then they failed miserably.

The would have never made it past the Sierra Nevada Range if they got that far. The US still has the largest armed force in the world. Highly skilled hunter and hobby shooters would have pushed them back into the sea with no escape and no help coming. Total wipe out. That still stands today.
