Today is International Women’s Day And today we are launching a new collection: «Women of the Ages» This collection is dedicated to remarkable women who lived in very different centuries and circumstances. Yet they all share one thing: in a world where women were rarely allowed to shape history, they still found ways to influence it Among them were: • a warrior • a ruler • a patron of the arts • a scientist • an intellectual Women who lived hundreds of years ago, but already proved that a woman could be far more than what society expected her to be The collection “Women of the Ages” tells the stories of five such women ⚔️ Lagertha - a legendary Viking shieldmaiden and ruler, known from the Scandinavian sagas 🏰 Philippa of Hainault - the 14th-century Queen of England, remembered for her wisdom, diplomacy, and compassion 🎀 Madame de Pompadour - one of the most influential women of the French court and a great patron of the arts during the Rococo period 🌿 Caroline Herschel - an astronomer who discovered several comets and became one of the first women to receive recognition in the scientific world ✨ Germaine de Staël - a writer, thinker, and one of the most influential intellectual voices of early 19th-century Europe Each garment in this collection is inspired by these women and by the eras in which they lived But the most important thing to remember is this: These women were, in many ways, exceptions to the rule For most of history, women simply did not have the opportunity to influence the world. They were denied the right to vote, to education, to property, and often even to decide their own future The rights many of us have today did not appear by chance They exist because generations of suffragists and feminists fought for them So today is a good day to remember those women - and to make sure we never allow these rights to quietly disappear again
