6 years ago… just me, my products, a folding table, a vision, and faith bigger than my circumstances. 🌪️✨ Looking back at this picture makes me emotional because I remember exactly where my mind was. I wasn’t waiting for everything to be perfect. I wasn’t waiting until I had the “right” setup. I just started. I showed up. Again and again. Every blessing, every door that opened, every lesson, every customer, every upgrade… I give thanks to my Ori first, and to my beloved Egun who have walked beside me, corrected me, protected me, and pushed me when I couldn’t see what they already knew was possible. My mama would knock the taste out my mouth if I skipped over my ancestors to give credit anywhere else. 😂🙏🏾 My godfather once told me something that has stayed with me: “Take time to stop, turn around, and look at how far you’ve come instead of constantly staring at the pain and trauma behind you.” Whew… that hit different. Sometimes we’re so focused on the next goal that we forget to celebrate the prayers that have already been answered. Sometimes you have to stop and appreciate how far you’ve come so you can truly appreciate where you’re going. From pop-up shops… to owning my own Botanica & Wellness Center… from praying someone would buy a single product… to watching people travel just to experience the work… that’s growth. That’s discipline. That’s consistency. That’s grace. Patience is something we all have to get comfortable with. Nothing worth building happens overnight. Every seed has its season. Every vision has its timing. Faith isn’t optional—it’s inevitable if you’re going to walk a purpose-filled life. If this is what six years looks like… I can only smile thinking about where my Ori and my Egun will have me five years from now. To anyone who’s building something from the ground up… don’t quit because your beginning doesn’t look like someone else’s middle. Keep showing up. Keep doing the work. Keep believing.
