The show had potential and imo was very misleading at the start as to who the main character actually was. we got very mild character development in gangle and zooble, and I personally feel like the show rapidly shifted into being all about Jax. I feel like Jax being trans either was lumped in towards the end or otherwise was HORRIBLY executed. there's only three times I can kinda visualize as supposed to hint at it and two of them are in the FINAL.
for the maid outfit anyone forced to wear a sexualized outfit (especially online) would be embarrassed, not at all a good example of them being uncomfortable with their feminity, for the bow l I feel like anyone having something their crush wears put on them would be flustering, and the misogyny could be and was, by myself at least, just him being an incel because of his mom or what he did to his crush, not any of those things, even with hindsight tell me in any way that this character is trans. also, if you need to dump a shit TON of information and lore about the show on twitter instead of, yk, in the show? thats not a good sign. again, it's not the worst thing ever and there were some characters with somewhat decent depth by the end; like Caine and Kinger, but overall it wasn't that good as an actual show. the humor is generally kinda flat, the supposedly deepish scenes also were really flat, with the exception of the scene where Jax is talking about being scared of abstracting right before that bullshit 'isn't she lovely' section being actually pretty alright and a semi solid representation of 'cognitive or volitional ambivalence. overall it has the marks of clearly being a first time indie show and for what it was did decently enough, definitely not great but way better than hazbin or helluva.
