I want to share something my therapist told me that might help too: imagine that everything you felt for him and the way he made you feel is something someone else has, and that it will be reciprocated, because those qualities you think you’ll never find in anyone else are, in a way, qualities you already possess they’re a reflection of what’s inside you. So you are the magic. We’re used to thinking that if we put in the effort with someone or something, things will work out, but that’s not always how it goes. There are factors we can’t control like maybe it wasn’t the right time for both, or he doesn’t feel the same way. You just have to stop idealizing them even if it hurts, because I know it’s hard. It’s better to see it as someone who taught you the bare minimum of what to look for in a future partner all those qualities and I’m sure life put him there to teach us to look deeper within ourselves our self love and self esteem ✨
